How to Create a Listing Parents Can Trust
A clear and honest listing helps other parents understand exactly what they are considering.
Photograph the actual item
Take photographs in natural light. Include the main view, brand or model label, and any visible signs of wear. Use at least three clear photographs.
Describe the condition honestly
Explain the item’s age, condition, functionality, known defects, repairs and missing parts. Only list items that meet Galia’s condition and safety requirements.
Include useful details
Provide the brand, model, appropriate age or size, asking price and broad pickup area. Do not publish your exact home address.
Set a realistic price
Consider the item’s condition and original price. Galia’s minimum asking price is QAR 40, so group lower-value items into suitable bundles.

Questions to Ask Before Buying Pre-Loved
Taking a little time to review an item helps you make a more informed decision before arranging an exchange.
Check the product information
Ask about its brand, model, age and overall condition. Check labels and expiry or manufacture dates where relevant.
Ask about its history
Find out whether the item has missing parts, known defects, repairs or previous damage. Ask about its cleaning history when appropriate.
Check safety information
Check for applicable recalls and ensure the item is suitable for your intended use. Take extra care with car seats, sleep products and equipment with safety restraints.
Inspect before accepting
Ask whether you can inspect the item before completing the exchange. If its condition or safety is uncertain, do not proceed.
03 · A RESPECTFUL HANDOVER

Galia connects parents, while buyers and sellers arrange payment and collection directly.
Agree on the details
Confirm the agreed price, suitable collection time and broad meeting area through Galia’s private messaging system.
Choose a safe arrangement
Select a suitable collection location and share precise handover details privately only when comfortable.
Inspect and communicate
Arrive on time, inspect the item calmly and raise any questions before completing the exchange.
Update the listing
Once the exchange is complete, the seller should mark the item Sold and select the buyer. The buyer can then leave a genuine seller review.
