Galia Marketplace Rules
A safer, more responsible marketplace for parents in Qatar.
1. Who Can Use Galia?
Galia is a parent-to-parent marketplace where individuals can list eligible pre-loved baby and children’s items. Members are responsible for providing accurate information and communicating respectfully.
2. Listing Standards
Items must be clean, complete, functional and in at least good condition. Accepted conditions are New/Unopened, Like New, Excellent and Good.
Sellers must provide accurate descriptions, disclose known defects and repairs, and upload at least three photographs of the actual item.
The minimum asking price is QAR 40. Lower-value items should be grouped into suitable bundles.
3. Prohibited Items
The following items must not be listed:
- Recalled, expired or unsafe products.
- Broken or incomplete equipment, including items missing essential safety components.
- Counterfeit or illegally sold products.
- Heavily worn or stained items.
- Opened hygiene or feeding consumables where resale would be inappropriate.
Galia may reject or remove listings that do not meet its standards.
4. Buying and Selling
Galia connects buyers and sellers but does not process payments, inspect products or arrange delivery during Phase 1.
Buyers and sellers arrange payment and collection directly. Both parties should review item details, communicate clearly and agree on a safe handover.
5. Privacy and Respect
Members must communicate respectfully and must not harass, threaten or misuse another person’s information.
Do not publish personal addresses or private contact details in public listings. Use Galia’s private messaging system.
6. Reviews and Reporting
Only the selected buyer from a completed exchange may review the seller. Reviews should accurately reflect that exchange.
Members can report suspicious listings, inappropriate messages or other violations. Galia may investigate reports, remove content and suspend accounts when appropriate.
